1 AM

flat efforts 45:00 [3] 4.0 mi (11:15 / mi)

Not what I had planned to do- but foot not great. So put on flat shoes and ran on the Downs. Really nice morning
Pyramid 0.5,1.0,1.5,2.0,2.5 3.0 and back -max rest 2.0 mins.
Struggled- not very far but was trying quite hard.
2 AM

road run 7:00 [3] 0.5 mi (14:00 / mi)

Warm up
3 AM

orienteering race 59:37 [4] 5.5 km (10:50 / km)

WNL -Painswick - misty night but warm
Ran north when the points were all south. (Hmm!) Took wrong path from 213 so visited 209 on route to 219. (Shame I had been there before). 6. 17 225-226, went down small path rather than along big path and so just off map and very confused. Took 10.55, Ifor took 4. Shame about this as it rather messed up the run.
Good evening for a night race and despite disappointment over mistakes enjoyed evening out.
Did not really feel foot

Note

One step forward another back.
Survived the orienteering but foot very painful in normal life. So although now motivated to train decided to take a couple of days off to give it a chance

1 AM

off road 12:00 [2] 1.0 mi (12:00 / mi)

Warm up and jog too and from start
2 AM

orienteering race 1:19:19 [5] 9.1 km (8:43 / km)

Took the day off work and went to Mytchett with Mike, as always good company and this time some more sound financial advice.
A grey day but the orienteering here is such fun, its probably my favourite military area and again it did not disappoint.
Missed control 7 ( I had trouble with this site before in the dark) -otherwise not too bad -although looking at the splits quite a few 30 secs here and there and tiring a b[t at the end. But concentration and technique certainly a bit better than of late.
Felt foot a bit before I started and now I am home but oblivious during run (soft forest?)

Tuesday Nov 25, 2014 #

off road 51:00 [3] 5.0 mi (10:12 / mi)

BOK Run at Portishead. Cold, wet unpleasant night. Foot giving considerable trouble. Has also hurt walking around at work. Short run and slow that's ok at the moment but really want 10km min on Tuesdays.

Monday Nov 24, 2014 #

off road 1:01:30 [3] 5.5 mi (11:11 / mi)

Ashton Court -ran from bottom. First bright frosty night of the year. Started slowly and struggled to warm up. New shoes which may or may not have contributed to sore left foot. Met Keith and Stu who dragged me along, started to enjoy running around cycle path. Slow
Still that's the tactic -little and often to get back into the groove

Sunday Nov 23, 2014 #

orienteering race 1:36:20 [5] 8.9 km (10:49 / km)

Moseley Green. A challenging and enjoyable course but felt long. (Nothing that a bit of fitness would not address.
Missed 2 a little and too far in unmarked depressions at 3. Not a great start. Leaked time at 8 -too high and no plan to recover. Started to look like a very long afternoon.
Now we were in one of the nicest bits of the whole Royal forest - great fun. Things looked up even more when Alice appeared from a strange direction at one of the controls -we were then nip and tuck to the finish.
A bit surprised at how long the time was.
1 AM

off road 20:00 [2] 1.0 mi (20:00 / mi)
