orienteering race 1:22:00 [4] 6.2 km (13:14 / km)

Compassport arrived and I read the first pages over and over again
This added to the churn over work meant no concentration.
Mallards Pike S. No criticism of race but I was a bit of a disaster spent 14 mins looking for no 7 mostly knee deep in water. Very cold day and got very cold did not really warm up over rest of course - slippy and could not get running. Did not go for tea went home for bath lemsip & bed. Not well at all and hamstring not happy

off road 1:14:00 [3] 6.5 mi (11:23 / mi)

All I can manage is LSD. Ran round Purdown Still racked with uncertainty as to what to do. Have enquired if although after the date jumping is possible.

off road 15:00 [2] 1.5 mi (10:00 / mi)

Very angry at work. BAWA field very cold, wet and windy warmed up but hamstring also unhappy so no efforts just went home
It seems that I either do a very dull role that involves going to Derby 3/4 day a week or.............?
Very fed up

orienteering race 1:15:15 [5] 7.1 km (10:36 / km)

High meadow woods/ headless hill. This is the best time of year to orienteer here. Very challenging race - it would be really good to run a champioship race here.
Course was well srtuctured using the technical bits linked with route choice legs -with all the controls in the right place. So much better than the very poor BOK races at Cannop and the Pludds.
Although I warmed up well I could feel my hamstring and so started very tentatively worrying about slipping- not surprisingly I messed up no.1. I did not actually spike any of the first six- only needing to turn and look back at most. By then hamstring was forgotten and I raced hard for the second part and spiked them all. It will be interesting to look at the splits
