Purdown run -not really muddy as frozen. Quite gentle as not really trained for quite a while so knees need to be managed. Good to be out

Compassport cup near Corfe Castle- travelled by coach. Good that the club does this occasionally but makes it along day.Fanastic views as a clear day. The area was better than I expected. Some of the course planning was a little odd in that you could often see contols form a considerable distance. Should have suited me but I just did not get on well with the map. Lost lots of time at control one- I was in the wrong place even though I thought I was in contact with the map. Other time losses.
Compared splits with Ifor he was travelling much faster. Pre- his injury this would have been no surprise but now I thought I might have been a bit closer. Perhaps he is getting back to normal. Need to get into the intervals
Alas Next week looks very grim
