Walk/Jog Mix intervals 30:00 [2] 2.82 mi (10:38 / mi)

W4 D1 of Couch 2 5K. Was hitting 3 intensity in jog parts. 1 is walking intensity, so average is a 2. Would have preferred to be outside, but was stuck doign the rubberized track. Pretty much this way until snow melts.

2.5 min Walk

1 min Walk to make it 30 minutes. 16 Jog / 14 Walk.

41 laps at 14 per mile = 2.93 miles. Got a little tired at end of last jog and was looking forward to stretching. Seems fast, but perhaps it is the rubberized track.

Snow shoveling with the brohans. We needed to take 1 minute breaks here and there due to the sub-zero wind chills and the need to warm up our hands - we were wearing gloves. Really was only a problem when shoveling facing the wind. A decent workout, but the exercise bike will be ridden later today!

No back issues. Stretch afterwards.

Went down to South mall with the brohans - nose got numb just before we got there. Pedometer says 4500 steps, so 2 miles.

Frustrated at having to come home and not be able to walk/jog at the gym at lunch. So, I took it out on the X bike at home and some weight. In the end, more calories were burned, but W4 D1 will need to wait until Thursday.

Getting ready to shovel snow tomorrow. Stretching mixed in with the weights workout - there is only one I cannot do at home and that is lat pulldowns.

Finished with 8 minute abs done for 10 minutes...

W3 D3 of Couch to 5K. GPS normal today, even tried a heart rate monitor:

Initially, it was fubar as it slid form my chest down to my waist (I guess being a mesomorph is a disadvantage compared to my ecto and endomorph comrades). Later on, it seemed to be more real heart rates.

Good run - running at slightly below 32F is better than slightly above because mud is frozen. Slight bit of snow was not a problem. Downside was frozen earth can be lumpy, had to pay attention.
