Walk/Jog Mix 30:00 [2] 2.41 mi (12:27 / mi) +5m 12:22 / mi

Indoors at the gym - 35 laps on a 14 lap/mile track. 5 min walk warmup then 8 repeats of 1.5 laps jog and 1.5 laps walk then 5 min cooldown. This was the start of a looong gym session. :-)

Tried to get the gps watch to work as a stopwatch without luck, so I needed to use real time until I figured out how long it takes to walk 1.5 laps (90 seconds) and how long it takes to jog it (60 seconds). So, it kind of worked out well.

All in all, calves and back felt good.

The resolutionists will be at the gym in droves on Monday. Pray for us regulars, so that we may be able to get on a machine and complete our workouts. ;-)

Snow Shoveling 40:00 [2]

Much smarter shoveling in somewhat lighter stuff today. About 7.5" of light fluffy stuff in Allentown. Stretched before and after.

Melted some fat as well. Looks like the walk/jog training inside the gym tomorrow. It has a tracklet - 14 laps to a mile.

Working from home today in light of the approaching snowstorm. Was going to do W1 D3 of Couch to 5K, but it is very cold and windy (25F with a 15 mph wind) and feels raw today. So, I chugged on the Xbike before lunch. Tomorrow will be a return to snow shoveling!

Walk/Jog Mix 31:51 [2] 2.5 mi (12:44 / mi) +20m 12:26 / mi

W1 D2 of Couch to 5K. Felt a little better yet today. Only felt tightness in the left calf on the last run interval and overall felt faster. Got to the house at 2.46 miles and I needed to go down a couple houses to get to 2.5 miles on the dot.

This was first for me, jogging in a snow squall (a mild one). Pretty cool and surreal. I had walked/hiked in the snow before, but not this. So, I also think I have the right amount of layers for 30 deg F with a windchill of 22 and a walk/jog. Only a tiny bit sweaty.
