Kaena Point. Had planned to make this a loop but got stopped by an Air Force access point gate so had a long return slog home in the sun. Saw a ton of albatross nesting and 2 sealz. Also, at the beach on the Waianae side, we saw 2 pods of dolphins, probably 40-50 in total. One of the pods went our way, and we got to watch them for the better part of an hour as we hiked. A local had told me about a cave on a side trail, and we found it on the way back. It was huge! And eerily quiet inside. 12mi was a bit ambitious for the day, and we were both relieved to see the van.
