This time walking a loop in the neighborhood - Crescent to Woodward to Humboldt. Started to sprinkle at the end. Time approximate, stopped to inquire about banquet capacity at the DMH visitors center. Alas, too small.

Went to the SPCA to sign up to adopt another dog. They will keep their eyes open for us. Barbara is very excited and I am happy too.

Stopped at the bank to deposit checks and hand in old statements for shredding. Meandered through the cemetery for the rest of the time. Nice day.

Once more around the park. Kinda chilly today and not too many people out. I'm listening to an audio book these days, The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo by Stieg Larsson. A murder mystery, very well written (and spoken). Guess what, orienteering was mentioned. I almost fell off my chair. Also lots of Swedish place names which is fun but a little confusing.

Since the doc said that walking would be OK I decided to start taking it seriously and use it to reduce the amount of fitness I'm losing as I recover from retina surgery. Recovery from that is going fine but doc doesn't want me exerting myself for a while longer. So no running, no lifting, no chores around the house, except for dishwashing which was explicitly allowed. The bubble is still in my eye but I can see OK looking straight ahead.
Walked around park CCW. Saw crows, kids playing (organized) baseball, other walkers, good dogs. Sun low in the sky at 5:30 PM.
