Smoke it from Lee to Smoke Road - in shorts! Decided to drive the car to get a change of scenery. The Lee public safety building is a good place to start from. A lethargic first mile as I just wanted to be out in the sun. But then I got into the grove, and decided to do a 10 miler.

Ahh! Trails! The ice is slowly melting and evaporating. Took the opportunity to try out the brand new trail shoes. They are a bit stiff but worked welll with that good profile. The lesser traveled trails were nice - quite a bit of snow still but very runnable. Sun-exposed areas are drying up nicely.

Workout over the Wednesday Hill trifecta.
Amazing how a 3 mile trail run warms me up for the hilly roads. Faster time but same effort as usual. I experimented with my old Altras, by using thin socks but double inserts: the shoe's regular one plus the extra arch-and-heel padded one. That worked fine. We'll see tomorrow.
