Orienteering race 1:20:35 [4] 11.0 km (7:20 / km) +160m 6:50 / km
shoes: INOV8 roclite 315

Harvester relay, 7.5k
I was on the first leg, I pretty much was in with the top 3 runners until leg 6 and was even leading for a bit. I just got really confused with the paths and wasn't keeping the map orientated and lost 7mins 30sec. This made the rest of a course a race of catch up. I then lost time on ironically a control the easiest control site (path junction) due to not finding the turn off in the dark. Then lost even more time on 16 where they had not mapped the vegetation so I lost time wading through brambles and then once I got in to the wood I ran in circle not really looking at my map....might work at devon events but not in pitch black in tricky terrain.
I brought our team back in 13th +20mins on first, Joss did well and we ended up coming 7th. Overall I am disappointed with my position however this was the most fun I have had orienteering since the compass sport cup qualifier 6 months ago :)

shoes: New Balance minimus Trail

Loops around Greenwhich, London, trying to make the run as long as possible. Far harder ground than I am used to haha

Running 48:00 [4] 11.0 km (4:22 / km)
shoes: INOV8 roclite 315

Run to Escot and back for the orienteering.

Orienteering 25:00 [2] 2.5 km (10:00 / km)
shoes: INOV8 roclite 315

Started off doing a course on the new escot map. It turned in to a map walk because i wanted to see how decent it was. Overall it is a nice area however if it was in a smaller scale and more time was put in to it, it could be a really nice and fairly technical area.
