Event: 2016 US Two-Day Classic Championships and Sprint Relay
 

I meet 6 family members at the meet at Ward Pond. None of them had ever done any Orienteering. I did not realize they would break us up into smaller groups. So there ended up being 3 groups. I went last so I could find anybody in our group that was lost. I found another of our groups right away. The other group was lost & did not know it. I talked them thru out the course spending about 15 minutes on the phone with them. Spent a lot of time showing those with me the ropes. About 3 of the 6 could do a Yellow course without help after this experience. It will be interesting to see if any of them every do a course again.

The Ward Pond meet had a long walk to the start and back again after the finish. Great weather for the Saturday event.

Hiking the 5 locks trail in High Falls, NY also the old power plant walk in High Falls. Very interesting lock system on display.

Walking tour of the Stockcade area of Kingston, NY

Traveling to NY for a family reunion on Saturday evening. I hope to get 5 or so family members to do a recreational course at the classic championships. I looking forward to everything except the 13 hour drive. Camping in PA part way.

Getting corporate tax returns out before the 15th and packing for the trip to NY
