Running (Hilly run) 1:33:00 [3] 15.0 km (6:12 / km)

My knees didn't hurt and my hip was fine after the first 20 minutes :) I was only going to go for an hour but I came to a crossroads in my life ("in my liife, there is someone who touches my life..") with one way marked "home, revision, art exam practice" and the other marked Grassgarth, so I went to Grassgarth and found a path I'd never been down, Oh this looks exciting! About 15 minutes later hello Cartmel. Hello bramblebashing back to the road. Hello half an hour's run back up hill to get home..
Quite a nice run though - I shall remember this one for another time

Running race (Cross Country) 12:00 [5] 4.0 km (3:00 / km)

(time is a bit of a guess, I'll check the results one day)

WOO selected for cumbria schools team again :D
My hips/legs/knees were pretty painful warming up so I was a bit worried but for some reason they all stopped hurting like 1minute before the start. Did my usual "get lost I am not sprint starting" approach so I was overtaking people all the way round (and none of them got me back. HA.) Spent the majority of the race admiring the pretty windmills (admiring the view in Barrow - got to be a first) so it went pretty fast and I actually managed a proper sprint finish for the first time in my life. Finished 6th and Katie Lowles was 7th so woo both going to English Schools' :D

Running warm up/down 30:00 [2]

Jogging and drills to check out the course as a warm up, and a jog along the beach to warm down

Running (Flat Road) 55:00 [2]

Had a reaally slow jog and a bit of a catch up, good preparation for XC tomorrow I think, although I'm a bit worried because my knees are really sore form too much running on roads and my legs still hurt from yesterday - but hopefully nothing a good long sleep won't sort out :)
The run to haverthwaite and back was quite fast because a) I was late for ma baben (shockhorror) and b) it was cold, dark, creepy etc and I hate being on my own going past the creepy houses

Running intervals (Lactate Shuttles) 15:00 [4]

The same as last time: 4x 400m with 400m rolling on and a longer recovery after 2 of them. The markers were much clearer this time but I kept forgetting which I was meant to start/stop at so the distances are rather approximate.. I still don't think I quite have my pace sorted out as some felt much faster than others, but it was better than last time :)

Running warm up/down (Jog to/from) 35:00 [2]

plus a few drills.

Spent the whole way there trying to warm my hands up - they were numb before I got out of the door! and most of the jog back admiring the SNOWW! :D

Running hills 45:00 [3]

Usual heights run with an extra loop to make it four 2-3 minute hills instead of three. Father is nearly better so he came out for a nice jiggety jog and still easily kept up with me :S

Running hills (Mid Hills) 9:00 [4]

5 times 1min on, 1min jog back down/further up to the next un-icey bit of road.

Running warm up/down (Jog to/from) 50:00 [2]

Jogging to/from our lovely little bridge, walk/running up the hill to a suitably ice-free patch and jogging/skating down. Jolly good fun avec ma soeur d'un autre pere - that saying does not work in fench :(
