Jogging to training, 2 laps warm up, jogging home

Wednesday Mar 25, 2015 #

Running (Hilly Road) 37:00 [3] 7.3 km (5:04 / km)

Sort of doing 1k harder/1k easier but a bit half heartedly (they the hard/easy bits kept coinciding with the section of road I like to do the other on). Had a break after about 4k because there was a forest fire (!) and I wanted to check that someone had called the firemen.

Tuesday Mar 24, 2015 #

Monday Mar 23, 2015 #

Running (Terrain) 40:50 [4] 6.6 km (6:11 / km)

Usual Monday Chapel House route. Efforts of various lengths on the loops, but nothing to strenuous because of yesterday.

Sunday Mar 22, 2015 #

Orienteering race (Open Fell) 1:58:28 [3] 15.06 km (7:52 / km)

Tim Watkins Blodslitet | Subberthwaite | 3rd on the open women's course
Idiotic route choice to number two, which I followed through despite being fully aware that it was stupid. I'm not entirely sure why that happened, tiredness perhaps. Silly me didn't wear full leg cover, and after braving it for the first 1 or so km the bracken got a bit much for me at around number 8 and I slowed down a lot (haven't looked at splits yet so I don't know how much I slowed compared to others). Other than number two and 9 (I think due to avoiding bracken) the route choice and navigation went smoothly. Distance judgement is definitely improving, although whether that's just because it's easier in the open, I don't know

Saturday Mar 21, 2015 #

S&C (Circuits) 30:00 [5]

considered doing the parkrun but I really needed to sleep and I don't particularly want three hard running day in a row.

1.5k flat warm up
9 x 300m with 300m jogging recovery (1:33, 1:13, 1:01, 1:03, 1:06, 1:01, 0:59, 1:01, 1:00) - first one uphill, second undulating, third downhill, rest mainly flat
1.4k jog

Thursday Mar 19, 2015 #

Running (Hilly Road) 45:00 [2] 7.8 km (5:46 / km)

Wednesday Mar 18, 2015 #

Note

Rest Day
Didn't get back from parents' evening until late - had planned to go for a short jog but there was literally no time.

Tuesday Mar 17, 2015 #

Running (Flat Road) 20:00 [3] 4.5 km (4:27 / km)

Warming up for cicuits

Circuits 30:00 [5]

2 x 14 minute circuit with a break inbetween (probs longer than 2 minutes). Tried to go for a range of muscle groups and branched out into some wacky new exercises

Monday Mar 16, 2015 #

Running (Terrain) 33:00 [4] 5.5 km (6:00 / km)

Usual Chapel House loop
I think all three of us needed an easier session. The hard bits we did we did pretty seriously but I think we jogged one running section and walk/jogged another

S&C (Circuits) 20:00 [5]

Realised I wasn't as tired as I thought I was. Also was reminded on saturday how weak my arms are :/

Sunday Mar 15, 2015 #

Orienteering (Open Fell) 44:37 [4] 6.31 km (7:04 / km)

CSC Regional Heat | Blue | 4th
Most satisfying orienteering I've done in ages. Direction good, picture mainly good, planning faltering a bit towards the end

Saturday Mar 14, 2015 #

Running race (Cross Country) 19:08 [5] 4.2 km (4:33 / km) +120m 3:59 / km

ESXC Witton Park 169th
Running for a different county whaaat
V painful but sort of enjoyable with the whole zero pressure situation. Overtaking up and down the hills but getting caught up/painfully overtaken on the flat. I think I lose motivation when there isn't a clear point to head for

Running (Warm up/down) 25:00 [3]

Jog to warm up, drills and strides
10 min jog to warm down

Friday Mar 13, 2015 #

Tuesday Mar 10, 2015 #

S&C (Yoga) 1:00:00 [2]

Felt like the happy pusheen cat afterwards. This shit works

Monday Mar 9, 2015 #

Running 52:00 [4] 8.5 km (6:07 / km)

Felt so shite going up the hill from chapel house car to begin with, but gradually felt better. Threshold shuttles round the forest loop - abso no point trying to do anything sprinty as I feel a bit limp/headachey/dehydrated all the time

Sunday Mar 8, 2015 #

Cycling 1:00:00 [3] 23.0 km (2:37 / km)

Orienteering (Forest) 35:00 [3] 3.8 km (9:13 / km)

Training set out by Carol
Slow loop with hans (~1km) - distance judgement with distractions
Thicket loop (3km) - distance judgement over rocky/densely wooded terrain. Felt an improvement over the second loop, I normally find this kind of terrain really difficult but I was trying really hard not to get frustrated by slipping over and having sticks in my face and almost succeeding

Thursday Mar 5, 2015 #

Running (Easy Run) 35:00 [3] 6.0 km (5:50 / km)

Wednesday Mar 4, 2015 #

Recorded Session (Phys Testing) 30:00 [5]

Orienteering 2:00:00 [3]

Jogging round putting out and taking in controls. Felt so dead from testing - fine if I ran fast for a short distance but any longer than a couple of minutes and I started feeling faint and weird

Monday Mar 2, 2015 #

S&C (Yoga) 50:00 [2]

Yoga and S&C. Then ankle exercises after
(No hills bc taking a rest before phys testing - and taking granny to the theatre)

Sunday Mar 1, 2015 #
