Running (Long Run) 1:09:00 [3] 12.7 km (5:26 / km)

Felt really good, going slow but finding it quite easy. Ankle - perfect until I jarred it on a cattle grid, I think there's still a bit to be desired in terms of mobility

Friday Jan 30, 2015 #

S&C 1:00:00 [4]

20 mins of circuits, 20 mins physio, 20 mins circuits

Thursday Jan 29, 2015 #

Circuits 35:00 [5]

LOC Training
5x5minutes of exercises with a rest between each circuit
stretching - lots of.

Running 15:00 [3] 3.2 km (4:41 / km)

Jog to/from training

Wednesday Jan 28, 2015 #

Note

Organised an O event but it was postponed due to road closures/bad weather etc. Spent hours driving around to try to get there and back with the road closed so I didn't have time to train when I got in

Tuesday Jan 27, 2015 #

Running intervals (Flat Road) 40:00 [5] 6.8 km (5:53 / km)

2k jog
5 x 500m, 1 min walking recovery times: 2:01, 1:57, 1:46, 1:53, 1:57
2k jog

Monday Jan 26, 2015 #

Running (Recovery Run) 41:00 [3] 7.5 km (5:28 / km)

Abbots Reading road loop. Finally figured out how to make my earphones stay in (jab v far in ears plus buff).
Bit of doms from yesterday, mainly in glutes, ankle fine

Sunday Jan 25, 2015 #

Running race (Fell Race) 39:55 [5] 6.63 km (6:01 / km)

Kendal Winter League Whitestones
Struggling on the marshy sections, overtaking up hills but arms felt knackered afterwards. Need to do more core (felt like I had a plank shoved down my front on the last descent because I was so tired/tight - blaming it slightly on the cold weather and minimal warm up)

Friday Jan 23, 2015 #

Note

Had a bit of a rest week due to feeling under the weather/tired/coming down with a cough

Thursday Jan 22, 2015 #

Circuits 30:00 [5]

Wednesday Jan 21, 2015 #

Orienteering race (Night O) 53:00 [3] 5.0 km (10:36 / km)

Orienteering (Night O) 35:00 [2] 3.0 km (11:40 / km)

Control collecting

Monday Jan 19, 2015 #

Running (Recovery Run) 30:00 [3] 4.7 km (6:23 / km)

Sunday Jan 18, 2015 #

Running race (Fell Race) 30:44 [5] 5.8 km (5:18 / km)

Kendal Winter League, Giggleswick, 6th F in the senior
On snow, good weather
So much fun, and pretty proud of my placing. My ankle is so close to being healed, I don't think it's affecting how fast I run, but it still hurts, especially on rough ground. Judging from how it feels now I made the right deciosn not to go to squad training yesterday

Saturday Jan 17, 2015 #

Running intervals (Flat Road) 31:30 [5] 6.1 km (5:10 / km)

1.6k jog
5 x 500m (2:01, 1:53, 1:52, 1:57, 1:55), 45s walking recovery
1.7k jog
Still not 100% convinced by my ankle. Kim's physio exercises are definitely making a difference

Thursday Jan 15, 2015 #

Running 26:00 [3] 5.2 km (5:00 / km)

Jogging to LOC training and back, then to whitewater and back, plus 1 x 600m effort to see if I'm up for intervals tomorrow. La bonne reponse est oui

Wednesday Jan 14, 2015 #

Orienteering race (Score) 46:52 [4] 8.0 km (5:52 / km)

Kendal, odds and evens
Got them all and was the first one back (first time ever)

Tuesday Jan 13, 2015 #

Circuits 35:00 [5]

Monday Jan 12, 2015 #

Running (Hilly Road) 40:00 [3] 7.0 km (5:43 / km)

Up and twice round the stables loop, carried a massive log back for the last few hundred metres (= S&C I think)

Sunday Jan 11, 2015 #

Running 20:00 [1] 1.5 km (13:20 / km)

Cripple training with Jenny
V accurate bearings, v satisfying.Had a learning experience with a craggy section, probs need to do some practice of that before the JK

Running (Path) 35:00 [3] 6.2 km (5:39 / km)

Struggling to run/walk in the terrain, so a bit of a run around Great Tower. Ankle decidedly better/more mobile after Kim's help yesterday

Saturday Jan 10, 2015 #

Recorded Session 20:00 [4]

Hill technique session: Drive arms more forcefully, avoid turning my feet out, and have faith and flatter feet on the down hill

Orienteering 1:00:00 [2] 7.0 km (8:34 / km)

Eggerslack compass and distance judgement training

Wednesday Jan 7, 2015 #

Running (Hilly Road) 1:01:00 [3] 10.1 km (6:02 / km)

SO GOOD TO BE RUNNING PROPERLY

Tuesday Jan 6, 2015 #

Running (Flat Path) 45:00 [3] 8.0 km (5:38 / km)

Straight after school along the canal (in the light, luxury)
Ankle's feeling 1000x better, but I still don't fancy drills/off the path/anything involving sharp take-offs. I don't think it'll be better in time for this weekend

Monday Jan 5, 2015 #

Running (Hilly Road) 39:00 [3] 6.8 km (5:44 / km)

Didn't mean to go for so long but t seemed a shame not to once I got past the painful stage with my ankle
