Abso sweltering weather but still nice to go for a long jog. Felt pretty tired on the last km or so after stopping to talk to Hans but up until then it felt fine. V slow up anything that could possibly resemble a hill

Garmin ran out during tea and cake after 45km, but the time is fairly accurate and measured the last 30km with string.
Revisited loads of lanequest sites and a few roads I'd never seen before. Fairly knackered going up gummers howe near the end.

The all-road loop round Low Wood and the stables. Felt good to get out after a v indoorsy day yesterday. 99% ok from the Saunders, with the 1% being my left Achilles which isn't grating so much as just on and off hurting now. A few more sandal days and it should be better I reckon.

Traversing hurt gave me blisters and my rucksack rubbed but we navigated well and kept cheery which is what makes the difference. Never thought I'd go up Helvelyn during a race..

Got 22 which is my best yet but got beaten my my parents :'( I made a stupid route choice and a mistake (doglegged down the wrong road for half a km and back) without which I reckon I could have got another 3 and been on time.

20 mins circuits at the park (pull up attempts, lunges, step ups, squats, crunches)

Achilles ground a little starting off then got better until I had to jog home, but that's what the big book of sports injuries predicted which means I've got the preferable "injury" (rubbed/damaged tendon and thickened covering) which is meant to heal quickly with rest yay

Note

Absolutely knackered from getting home 2am on thursday, DofE, 3 open days and a late night last night. Also done something to my achilles tendon (it sort of grinds about when I flex my ankle) so the Saunders is debatable.

Pressups, Tricep dips, crunches and a few bridges in the morning (literally no time as I had a train at 6)
Also carried the same weight as my DofE pack around a uni all day in mildly less sturdy shoes.
