Running intervals 25:00 [5]

2.5mins, 2.5mins recovery
The middle one had a bit of a midway rest as I was sure there was someone (obv an axe murderer) walking through the trees, but other than that they seemed pretty good - got a good 25m further than last week :)

Running warm up/down (Jog to/from) 35:00 [3]

Running warm up/down (Plus midway rest jog) 30:00 [3]

Cycling 1:15:00 [3]

First time I've been on my bike for a while so it was nice to give my ankles a break. But literally wearing 3 pairs or trousers it was so cold! I'm sure cycling is meant as a summer sport..

Running (Jog to/from) 30:00 [3]

Running hills 10:00 [4]

2x 4minute hills with recovery as jogging back down.
Plus an extra bit on one the first one to avoid a woman walking her dog. Wearing a prom-type dress. In some dark woods. Alone. :O

Running (Jog to/from) 1:00:00 [3]

Over Haverthwaite Heights to Lane Ends, then down through Haverthwaite to the Estuary (via what felt like waist deep mud, water and cowpats) then back along Fish House Lane

Lovely and muddy and oh, nice timing! Just managed to catch the entire rain storm :D

Running (Intervals) 12:00 [5]

3x 2 minute intervals with 3 minute recovery.
I would have done maybe 2 more but we'd forgotten head torches

Circuits (Circuits) 40:00 [3]

Running (Threshold Run) 12:00 [5]

On flat road, and faster than usual due to Dad's "go on let's see how fast you can run then" turning into a bit of a race..

Running (Flat Road) 45:00 [3]

Still a bit coughy, but I thought I might as well run properly seeing as this was meant to be a hard week.
Down fishouse lane in the dark = not where I like to be, but the running felt better than yesterday so tthat kind of made up for it.

Running 40:00 [2] 5.0 km (8:00 / km)

A rather chatty jog around backlane with father as both of us are a bit ill, got terrified of the screaming pigs and had to sprint, but other than that it was a nice steady trot all the way round

Monday Nov 19, 2012 #

Running warm up/down (Jog to/from) 20:00 [2]

Running (Short Hills) 30:00 [5]

3 sets of 10, 20seconds each with recovery as the jog back down and a longer recovery between sets. On terrain so it was really slippy/muddy/heathery - but a good session, with a sprinkling of gossip on the way home :)

Orienteering race (BSOC) 27:58 [4]

Another rather satisfying race - feels good to well at something big for the first time in a while :D Went for the "'I shall never leave the path" approach, which seemed to work, other than not being able to find controls one and seven (both were in quite deep gullies that I managed to run right past) it went pretty well.

Saturday Nov 17, 2012 #

Orienteering race (World School's Selection) 43:01 [4] 4.1 km (10:30 / km)

Horrible cacky area full of bramble and mud, no major mess ups but didn't feel like it went very smoothly.. But hey I win - hello Portugaal :D

Thursday Nov 15, 2012 #

Running warm up/down (Run to/from) 30:00 [3]

Running intervals (Flat Road) 25:00 [4]

2.5mins, 2.5mins recovery

Monday Nov 12, 2012 #

Running (Hill Intervals) 20:00 [4]

2x 50seconds with 70seconds recovery
Longer recovery to jog back down
3x 50seconds with 70seconds recovery

Not too hard a session and rather enjoyable other than one small dog incident

Running warm up/down 10:00 [2]

Sunday Nov 11, 2012 #

Orienteering (NWJS) 1:45:00 [3]

5 exercises (about 1-2 km each) plus three times up that stupid hill to the start.

Saturday Nov 10, 2012 #

Orienteering (NWJS) 1:00:00 [2]

3 exercises (1-2 km each)
Did the first one quite slowly, but chillyness (and Quentin) encouraged faster running after that.

Orienteering (NWJS) 20:00 [3]

Afternoon clock relay - time is a bit of a guess but hey ho

Sunday Nov 4, 2012 #

Orienteering race 1:10:00 [3] 5.2 km (13:28 / km)

Surprisingly nice weather and didn't even get lost! :) Probably because I wasn't moving very fast but I shall blame that on the ditches and tussocks.

Circuits 20:00 [2]

Running 1:00:00 [3]

Running to and from training at summer house knott. In the rain. Because we're dedicated. Was a bit slow on the way home when we cold and tired, but was probably a good idea to warm up after being cold all morning.

Orienteering 2:00:00 [1]

LOC training at Summer House Knott. - accurate bearings and "maintaining a learning environment when you're cold and grumpy". Also good terrain training as it felt like every tree in the forest was lying in my way.

Thursday Nov 1, 2012 #

Running warm up/down (Jog to/from) 1:00:00 [2]

Running (Intervals) 20:00 [4]

2,30min, 2,30min recovery with a 3minute break after the first two.

Saw the same idiot dog walker as yesterday so I had to turn around in the last interval >sulk<
