Berryman 24. Raced with Travis in his first 24. He did really well for the 1st 12 hours but had a bit of an emotional breakdown shortly before sunset. I felt pretty good for most of the race but struggled with sleepiness towards the end.

For whatever reason, SlimJims continue to be rocket fuel for my body.

The first small o-section and following bike leg were fun. The first legit O-section gave us one hiccup that cost us about an hour, so that was rough. After that we were good for the rest of the day.

The Hi-tec infinity lite shoes are a raging disappointment. I could actually feel rocks stabbing through the shoe into my foot. Very painful race on the ol' feet.

After a debilitating ankle injury, travis couldn't hike anymore so we had to call it early and ride bikes back to the HQ. Not our best showing, but it was a fun race and I got to see/talk to lot of cool people throughout the day. Saw EK/WEDALI twice which was pretty badass.

Overall I think this course was made to challenge the elite teams and maintain an aire of impossibility for the rest of us. A proper knowledge of route selection/rogaining could propel us to a solid finish here next year. Probably wouldnt hurt to lose 50 pounds either.
