Walking 2:45:00 [2] 11.2 km (14:44 / km) +420m 12:24 / km

Very cold bright sunny morning - would have preferred to rest up but change of weather on way so out i went.

Pentlands tops, mid-south - nice quite easy hike, defo peak bagging but i say OK !!!! only two brief rests as really quite cold, needed gloves really .

Knocked off 4 more. Only one 500m+ top to go for the full set now!

Orienteering race 35:47 [3] 4.02 km (8:54 / km) +50m 8:23 / km
shoes: Innov8 MudClaw 300 2019

Woke feeling better (not perfect?) - decided to go out & have a decent day

RR Green course, Smailholm Tower, 3.5km, surprised to see two elites there as i arrived (CS & AP)

Gently eased myself around the course, one eye on HR on watch, which wasn't great but short course so probably OK.

W16 Ellie Darlow (RR) stormed past me, nothing I was going to do about that! Mike Pedley was catching me all the way & we met at penultimate control.

Really good to do. Hopefully be OK. If not - balance it out with a nice sociable day out (also visited my old house, local shops, & chatted to people I knew back in my Stow days)

(sick) (rest day)

Liz up 6am & off (Turkey via Geneva) by 7:00; i never felt good and the whole day was exhausted. Forced myself to drive to Sainburys in Peebles for essentials & bought loads of crap comfort rubbish which fucked my stomach so badly i could not eat any tea, instead having a beer & nibbles.

So, so tired. No brain fog. Dont' conflate tired with ME/ CFS, as the latter has vastly more to it ( a it like forgetting a few things versus alzeimers)

Didnt' see this coming. No doubt to do with my underlying lifelong condition. I've been shattered since last Friday, just haven't admitted it.

I don't feel ILL though. Big difference. Last "ill" days were in mid May, when i wa in tears in Stow, brain all fogged.

Travel to Peebles for 2 weeks cat sitting. Fun.

EDIT - shattered packing house up, & tired on the drive but coped with decent trip. So tired later in evening with Liz I could barely be sociable. Hit the red wine early & was almost screaming for bed by 9pm.

FML.

Climbing 1:15:00 [4]

Awesome walls with Jim Shackleton. Pretty good , tho tired. Hammering up 6b+ & a 6c , sadly not clean, but a v good first session post-Greece.

EDIT: Being tired pre-coffee break, i brushed aside. Post coffee I tried 100% and climbed well but the ADRENALINE overrulled the "tiredness".
