Climbing Stanage Popular + Tim

Good day - despite failing (sliding off) a VS 5a, I finally led the HVS 5a Tower Face which is on my birthday card. Was great if a little fright at the shipwreck of a flake/s!

Finished off a VS 5a that Tim fell off about 5 times before giving up.

Running 27:30 [3] 3.9 km (7:03 / km) +50m 6:38 / km
shoes: Brooks Ravenna 11

(Woke with sore upper arm again - not serious - aggravated by too much chores etc yesterday?) - canned climbing with Tim indoors.

C25K as planned - boring. Very unfit. Will keep at it. Seems benign.

Worth noting no bad days (no bad days since one in August, & 3 in a row mid-May now); so the Lakes O race didn't bugger me up. Despite the insane "HR". Whoopee-doo (no, I'm not "grateful").

(rest day)

Day off - had intended to go hiking but never happened

Instead did some house chores & hung stuff on walls. A bit like 2 weeks ago, this would prove painful (arm / shoulder). Stop hanging stuff up!!! For at least a month!

C25K - 75 secs walk/ 75 secs run this time (was 90secs walk / 60secs run before).
Out of fucks for HR.
Running far too fast.
Need to go slow & easy for longer, but can't slow down. I love "fast" running. there , I've said it.
Elitist right? No, I just love running .... faster than 5mins/km. Sorry world.

Climbing (Trad) 2:00:00 [3]

Trad climbing with Tim again,. High Tor, Matlock, first trip there. Main cliff - intimidating.

Good, but Tim's lead on a "classic" shiny VS was horrific - glad he didn't hurt himself (polished to death).

Found a sneaky 6a sport route on walk down- loved it! Then led a nice new VS 4c (steep) - I felt fab.

Another BBQ, another great day out. Autumn????

Millstone Edge (grit - quarried) climbing w/ Tim

Good day, 4 routes, nice weather. Led a HVS 5a (Lyons Corner House) - fun, my first Millstone HVS.

Tim fell off a greasy VS twice, which was amusing; his gear is good as he didn't die or end up in a crumpled heap at my feet.

Great stuff. More please.
