Running 14:00 [1] 1.0 mi (14:00 / mi) +15m 13:23 / mi
(injured) shoes: Saucony Guide 7

Gingerly tried a jog / walk in new insoles.

one stab of pain otherwise "OK", but mental stress really proper serious.

Limping. Not ready for a real run.

OK, so we'll see, ill try a tiny jog every couple of days to see if I can keep myself in the loop somehow.

Think CHiltern challenge will be a bit silly, can't decide now.

(injured) (rest day)

Sharp twinge as I stepped off a kerb this morning. The pain makes me feel sick. Nice to reminded that something is badly wrong inside my heel. (not)

Prepping for tonight's gig at The Tunnels, which will go on til midnight - some "rest day" ha ha.

200 tickets sold.....

Note

Note: best gig in a long long time. With http://www.upthefunction.co.uk/
Mainly due to the amazing showmanship of new lead singer Lewis Hutton.

Just as well I wasn't running this week, as it was a massively knackering workout.
Sound check 5pm ..... got home 1:00am.
Heel/Achilles seemed to behave throughout - but I was flooded with adrenaline, playing to well over 100 mentalists until after midnight.

Cycling 1:02:00 [4] 20.3 km (3:03 / km)
(injured)

Cycle ride
up to hengrove, round a 2 minute loop quite hard 5 times = 10 minutes

bonked about 5 mins from home, had to dismount, worrying diabetes wobble, should ALWAYS have jelly babies / money / phone with me!

revived ok at home.

http://www.mapometer.com/cycling/route_4293653.htm...

Small loop was about 900m, so that's 4.5km in 10 minutes - not bad?

Didnt' check heel pain - I actually don't want to know today, as it's just getting me down. Kept my foot straight. :-(

Heel/achiiles v sore first thing. Worse than yesterday. This is a new development. Hurts walking down stairs now. Hurts to "stretch" (the heel) out.

Arranged to see GP, got referral to hospital, made it there later, had RH heel xrayed from 2 different angles. Output will be back in a week, which I'll then take to physio.

No running til ... this stops hurting. A week, a month, three months?

Who knows.

One's thing's for sure - if I get to the end of the O & road race "season", say mid-late May, I'm jacking it all in til the autumn, cos my body has had enough. Or so it's telling me.

RH heel / Achilles not too sore, considering what I put it through yesterday.

Ice, ibuprofen cream, rubbing, rest.

No idea if this will "work", but at least I feel like I'm "doing something" ....

Some of my splits from yesterday show that I'm operating at the right level for M50 right now, though. Another rest week. Can maintain fitness in other ways.
