Orienteering 43:52 [3] 5.3 mi (8:17 / mi)
11th
Probably one of the best runs I ahve done, and not sure why the people on my class found it so hard.
Started petrified of messing up so very slow to #1, a W21E led me in, I was slightly wide. Then #2 and #3 fairly striaght forward. #4 I took the careful route down the path and up from the building.
#5 was a bad one bearing over hitting the fence and coming out and seeing the gate. Knew I was roughly in the right place but couldn't see it. Then M21E's came though and led me in.
#6 and #7 straight forward pushing on the open.
#8 had a lot of potential to fuck up but went in soooo cautiously and then luckily hit my control.
#9 #10 #11all straight forward so no chance to fuck up!
#12 I was worrying about what to do, stopped on the bridge and planned a route. Came up hit the path, down caross the marsh and up and in, surprised to not have lost time as I felt slow.
#13-#15 same story just flowing nicely no mistakes just slow.
#16 had it in my head it was on the other stream so was searching the wrong place for trhe easiest control. Lost a lot here but carried on.
Long leg, down the path contoured over and in, pushing hard.
Final couple controls were straightforward, still being careful not to fuck up but pushing.
