Run 19:01 [3] 2.41 km (7:54 / km) +31m 7:25 / km

Cockatoo Island sprint race - what a hoot! 18 controls and I lost 1.30 on route choice or mainly not reading map carefully on controls 2 and 3 - so pretty pleased with the run given my knee is still not 100% - Liz said she noticed I was hobbling a bit still. I also did find the tunnel route choice between 3 to 4 - see liz's FB for a pic of the map - or the ONSW site. Plus the garmin trace is not too bad - off on a few sites by a bit tho.

Run 29:49 [3] 4.01 km (7:26 / km) +85m 6:43 / km

Georges Heights event - first run on the knee for quite a while and it felt sore for a start but later felt better - did not push too hard and only dropped about 50 seconds on two poor route choices. Great location with great views - glad conditions were overcast and coolish. Motivated to run after reading a book by a dude called Kilian Jornet - who has run up and down Mt Kilimanjaro in a little over 7 hours. The book title says it all Run or Die. The book is more into his feelings running in ultra races rather than much if any details on the runs tho - maybe some of it got lost in translation as it was originally written in Catalan.

Gym junkie 1:00:00 [3]

Nice session with some stretching, weights and 30 mins on elliptical trainer. Also had to deal with Xmas rush at supermarket but did not add that time on here.

walking 2:00:00 [3] 8.0 km (15:00 / km) +350m 12:18 / km

Walk to top of Stromlo with Liz and the pooch and back home - pretty warm day - about 30C. Pooch had a good dip in the water flowing as part of the bushfire memorial near home to help cool her down.

Swim 30:00 [3]

Keeping up the exercising twice a day.
