Never again? Well let's see. At last it's a good excuse to eat (a lot of) candy and drink (a lot of) coke afterwards. Quite crazy start, fastest km was ~3:07 on the way to #1. Hanging with Portin in the beginning but lost him, afterwards quite lonely for a while. Unfortunately missing Parjanne, that would have been the key to the chasing group. Halikko

Well, definitely not what I was planing today. Good start, being first at my first control. But after ~ one minute of running we passed a control and except for me and KR everybody else of the leading teams had this one as the 2nd. Despite having the longer (or at least slower) forking there, we did quite the mistake towards #2. Should just have done my own thing and start running right of the direct line towards #2. Afterwards quite clean race, running alone until eventually catching up the big group on the last loop. But nice to see that th 14 runners following did a great job, ending in a 6th place.

Finally my first ever Yökuppi. Nice terrain, not very nice navigation skills. Waaaay to go... Switching the lead with Allu more or less every other control.

Jukola 2019 Harjoitus #1

Revenge in Ponsa, well at least if I had visited #2 and approached #3 a bit more straight forward. At least I had some kind of concentration on the hill towards #14, where I enjoyed some 10 (?) minutes during SM-keskimatka.

25manna (2nd leg)

Good fun in Sweden with two LS-37 teams. Lotta gave me a nice starting position and after 'getting into the competition' I took the lead of my group on the way to #4 and eventually caught the runners in front of us at #11. A bit too much self-confidence to #13 but was able to close the gap again.

As I usually had problems doing well during the first training/competition after a few week of scandinavia-absence, I took the closest map to do some (very short) training at least. Hoping for two side effects, too: a) shaking the legs after the flight, b) after this night-o training tomorrow's day orienteering well be pretty easy. :)
