Tired legs. Pretty good execution. All those fast ladies of Calgary! I couldn't keep up with them.

No grave errors. Ran slightly past a couple controls. Oh. And lost about 20 seconds by running to the wrong control in the arena. Otherwise quite finished 8th in the 45+ class - my best finish of the last 2 weekends. I'm pleased enough. I admit that Dan reminded me that the course notes had described the symbol for downed tree trunks, which was helpful.

I was really happy with this race EXCEPT for my major lapse at #3. I got across the final marsh, but then didn't know solidly where I was and wasted 16 minutes wandering around the wrong marsh. AAargh. An error getting to #1, and a couple other losses around control 7 or so being tentative. I think my HRM wasn't working right because I know I was running enough to get into zone 4 for a chunk of the race.
