Orienteering race 44:45 [5] ** 10.4 km (4:18 / km)
spiked:29/30c shoes: New Balance M880BY4

West SSS 4 at Balcombe Heights

Streets & parks with more hills than anticipated. Lots of options to link up the middle controls... didn't pick the most efficient route. My only nav error was hesitating between 26-29 near the start. Legs felt good.

Scored 600 with only 15secs to spare. James 600 in 44.20?, Keelan getting very close to 600 (45.19).

Route: 2-26-12-30-1-13-14-28-4-27-19-20-21-10-5--8-15-3-22-25-18-9-7-23-16-24-17-6-11.

Orienteering race 46:24 [4] ** 10.7 km (4:20 / km)
spiked:26/28c shoes: New Balance M880BY4

South SSS at Sandringham (Bado-Berong Creek)

Flat course with nice running along the creek & shoreline but also some long road slogs. Lost a bit of time hesitating at 4 & 20. Pretty low on energy but glad went.

Got all controls except 7 & 9, 2 mins overtime for 560. Keelan 540, not sure of top scorers yet.

Squash 1:30:00 [4]

Drills & restricted games with Krishna. Front court games were brutal on my quads.

Squash 1:00:00 [5]

Haven't done a Friday session for a while. Practice match v Stan. Lost all 5 games but they were all pretty tight. Really oppressive conditions with no air conditioning at the courts.

Pennant round 15 vs Willoughby.
3-1 win vs CP (238). Bad start but came back well. Team kept the winning streak going and we have a week off before the GF in 2 weeks.

Orienteering 42:21 [5] ** 9.4 km (4:30 / km)
spiked:28/28c shoes: New Balance M880BY4

SSS 7 at Rodd Point (The Vault)

Scorcher, especially early on and away from The Bay. Took some indirect lines on purpose to stay in the shade as long as possible. Thankfully it cooled down a bit towards the end.

Lots of overall route choice with the top guys going slightly different ways. Think I chose a good unique route: 4-23-29-13-7-18-1-17-27-11-19-14-26-30-15-6-28-24-22-21-10-9-2-20-25-3-16.

Left out 5 & 8 - marginal whether I had time to get them but should've had a crack. Also should've got 10 as an out-and-back from 26 as originally planned instead of leaving it as a maybe for the way back.

Scored 580, well back from Glenn(43), Richard(44) & Andy(44) 600's.

Stopped at #3 to help Stuart M who was laying down in the shade dehydrated. Made sure he was ok then ran to the finish get him some water then waited for 30mins until he recovered enough to get a car ride to the finish.
