SHI relay- 1st leg
Was working really hard to try and hang on to the train, but they were all pretty rapid and I couldn't get my legs going through the really physical heather/long grass/marshes. Was frustrating as id look up and see exactly where I needed to be up ahead of me and it didn't look too far away.. But then actually trying to get there was a whole lot harder than I would have liked!!! Even the downhills were awful haha I was looking forward to a hill so I didn't have to run downhill anymore, just couldn't pick my legs up over the heather and everything! Ballsed up a few controls at the end and lost a lot of time. Overshot #12 and found like 3 controls before my own, then punched the wrong #14.. Only realised halfway to 15 and had to go back. Was by Lucy up until 12.. Then didn't see her again
booooo. But anyway Anwen and Helen had good runs and we came 5th :)

SHI- w20 short brown
pretty good race apart from 3 or 4 controls and lost almost 7mins.
#1 was a banana bearing, too far to the right. then got into it and just chugged pretty cleanly through the next section and passed quite a few girls who started ahead of me. then started to lose it a bit, was just not even concentrating, kind of forgot I was orienteering and ran straaaaaaight past #10 and was a bit too high. then #11, dont even ask, thought i had come down to the different gate, all went a bit pearshaped.
#15 must have just missed it, thought i was too high, dropped height and accidentally ended up at the bottom path...was like shiiit and had to crawl all the way back up. 20s down on 3rd w20 after all that, a bit frustrated! buuut it was reaaally fuun and I reallly enjoyed the area even though it was quite physical :) and my race wasn't aaall bad, just more mistakes at the end when I was getting a bit tired

Pentlands morning run with hainzey. mega fun but was pretty rubbish up all the hills, I just always forget just how hilly the pentlands are and then I go there and its like aw shit yeh my legs can't do this.
also in the car park there were these dogwalkers who had 3 vans full of dogs and then they just opened the doors and they all came flying out and there were just dogs EVERYWHERE and it was just awesome. SO MANYY. and a sheepdog who always wanted you to throw him a stick who was so great

orienteering 24:30 [4] 3.9 km (6:17 / km) +130m 5:23 / km
shoes: asics cumulus

RTC: was slightly chaotic at the quarantine and stuff.
Not a good run though- making mistakes everywhere, never really got into it. as i had made mistakes early on just found I couldn't really push my legs to actually try bcos I had already lost so much time. just slow and scrappy. and especially the ones in the graveyard at the end, just throoowing time away!
then had to control watch for ages zzzzzz and as a result was just a moody bitch all day long
