The two Munros to the NE of Crianlarich. Another day of great weather - snowline at 450m, high cloud which later disappeared, and expansive views from the top. The short E ridge of the second Munro was very steep and iced up, which made it considerably exposed near the end - I was following a trail but had to move very carefully and defensively. The other main hazard of the day was a steep descent down the W face of the N ridge of the first Munro. Deep (1m+) continuous snow, although as far I could tell it was hard-packed and so stable.

Ran Blue at TAY local event on Moncrieffe Hill, near Perth. Variable amounts of wet/soft snow underfoot made the going quite tricky in places - especially in the rough open and heathery fields near the end. The forest had quite a bit of brashing too. Got around OK though - a couple of biggish mistakes, and finished second out of 11, six minutes down on the winner (Will H).

Beinn Bhuidhe from Glen Fyne. Snowline around 550m, nice firm-packed snow about around 700m. Biting wind but sunny and great view from the top. Slightly scary (especially as solo) descent down steep snow-filled gully NE from the NE top. Time includes 20 minutes break at the top. Also the GPS couldn't deal with the fact I went up a very steep snow-filled gully in a brute-force direct line on the summit. I was going so slowly it thought I'd stopped.
