Europa Hire gave me a massive Vauxhall DaveDynoSuperSalesman TSi thingy instead of the fiat 500 I booked. And so the theme of the trip was established, one of massive over-compensation. Gently trotted up to the start, doing the pre-o on the way, went very steadily to #1. Easy, and the map is lovely. So speeded up on the short leg to #2... I must have been within 30m of it for 3 of the 4 minutes I spent over-relocating. Bollocks. Becoming a bit of a habit, number two at number two. This must be harder than I thought. Slow right down for 3 and latch onto a little train. Lose them going round the hill to the left for 4 and then overshoot down the hill. Arse. This is hard. Long leg to 5 in the cloud. Lost contact in the vague bit on the middle and then no idea where I was on the slope. Along the slope, look down hopefully for the line of crags...er, over-optimistic, its 10m above me. Bit of a faff at 6. Clean to the left for 7. Long leg to 8 - left, then ok to long leg to 11 where straight was probably better. 13 required a meerkat impression on the boulder to get the right re-entrant. I realised later that this was the same control site that took 7 minutes off me at the 6 days. And then nearly missed the finish.
At no point was there a single path or fence. What an area.

Tinsley hill. 1.7k at 5'30' pace, the hill at 7'00 pace, 1k at 5'00 pace and 250m at 3'45' pace. Did this instead of the hill intervals that I should have been doing.
