Running hills 45:00 intensity: (40:00 @2) + (5:00 @5)
shoes: Icebugs

Short hills in Bingham 3x5x20'. Hilly warm up and then a search for a hill in the shade. Found one still with hard snow ice. Dog tried to join in but turned out to be rubbish at the final 10m - that's not the kind interval mate I need! A better week.

Redmires to the pole, along the edge and over the moor back. No-one had been across the moor - very sensible of them, as the snow was sugar crystals covered by a inch of wind slab that broke through 19 times out of 20. Hard going. Truly stupendous sunset. Any view that sheep are stupid must be because of the anti-sheep conspiracy of the media. Once back into the woods the sheep had found all the best lines and furthermore they were clever enough not to have bothered going over the heather.

Running 1:00:00 [2] 8.0 km (7:30 / km) +170m 6:47 / km
shoes: Icebugs

Trap lane, PV to clough lane and back thru the allotments. Tonight's question- is it snow or is it mud? Not easy, even as a metaphor. Needed James Bond version retractable dobs.

Running hills 35:00 intensity: (30:00 @2) + (5:00 @5)
shoes: Icebugs

Bingham park hills on the hard neve that is the hill. Crampons or icebugs the only option. Did 5x, 62, 62, 59, 58, 66 and baled. Good to get back on it, pity about the sixth one that I couldn't talk myself into. It's faster on ice, fifth one broke me. And on reflection last time I did this as 2x3+1.
