Orienteering warm up/down 51:00 [2] 4.75 km (10:44 / km) +35m 10:21 / km
shoes: Inov Trailroc 235

Included shadowing Zoe on her first night O

Orienteering race 19:54 [4] 3.6 km (5:32 / km) +35m 5:16 / km
shoes: Inov Trailroc 235

Took me 3 controls to get into map, then was in the fields. Visited the first tree going to 5. Didn't consider crossing the uncrossable wall to 7 which is forbidden! Didn't consider finding straight route to 9 which the planner had planned as forbidden. Dropped a little time at 9 and 11.

A big stop at 13 trying to find 14 on map. Had route to 15 planned. Also took time to find 19 on map. Didn't see straight route to 19 via steps. I was slow in wood as it was raining and I struggled to read the detail, especially 23-25.

Control descriptions were too small to read fully but didn't impact much.

Seems like a lot of moaning!, but the positives are to long to type!!

Very enjoyable and opportunity for Zoe to get out in the dark.

Running 59:52 [3] 12.0 km (4:59 / km) +45m 4:54 / km
shoes: Inov8 flyroc 303

First trip out in flyrocs :) replacement for the Mizuno ascents. Seems a well padded shoe, good for long distance. Certainly don't feel a fast shoe. Was unusually muddy today on which they are not good!

Running 1:26:37 [3] 16.3 km (5:19 / km) +50m 5:14 / km
shoes: Mizuno Wave rider

Tide was well out and there was plenty of sand so about half the run on sand.
Min elevation -1m!

Noticed this yesterday

Never done either half or 10k race!
Good cause, so perhaps little reason not to do half.
