6 AM

Running 27:32 [2] 4.89 km (5:38 / km) +19m 5:32 / km

Easy morning run
Calf hurt but eased off with a bit of running, not sure if its because it was warming up or my running style was altering. Concentrating on calf meant legs weren't feeling too stuff though. Give my calf some TLC today

Running 3:04:18 [3] 28.59 km (6:27 / km) +822m 5:38 / km

Surrey Hills Race A course, with Bex and dad
Tough going, was v hot
Some router hesitations in places
At 20km ish could feel my calf going then at 23km was lots of pain but happy it held out so long

Note
(rest day)

Day off, done enough milage for this week so no bother that way but frustrating not being able to run, especially when there were some great options for today. But calf is feeling better for it, so thats positive for tomorrow.

12 PM

Running 18:18 [2] 3.34 km (5:28 / km)

Warm up to a nice bit of canal out of the town centre

Running 15:23 [4] 3.24 km (4:45 / km) +8m 4:41 / km

4x 1.6km (1 min) threshold runs
Bex decided to stay and pace me (also accidentally didn't set up the session right on my watch so its saved as 2 separate)
7.09, 7.09, 7.10, 7.25
However the 7.25 was the time I was meant to be doing all of them in though. so a bit more intervals than they're meant to be
The section of the canal had 2 locks, so 2 wee uphill bits in reps 2 & 4 and also 2 bridges
Was so hot too
Initially was going to do these pre-breakfast but Ali said I shouldn't train at the same time everyday and I woke up with a headache

Running 15:37 [4] 3.24 km (4:49 / km) +8m 4:46 / km

Running 16:49 [2] 2.75 km (6:07 / km) +26m 5:50 / km

Warm down back home after a wee walk
4 PM

Running 8:33 [2] 1.59 km (5:22 / km) +10m 5:12 / km

Wee warm up

Running 8:39 [4] 1.6 km (5:24 / km) +1m 5:23 / km

4x 200m (200) reps
These are about good running style so decided to do them after a wee break from the thresholds
47, 51, 52, 53
So not ideal times but wasn't focussing properly
Calf was hurting a bit..

Running 7:33 [2] 1.17 km (6:28 / km) +17m 6:01 / km

.. Stopped for my warm down and my left calf just went
Wanted to cry, not because it hurt but week 1 into my 19 week training programme something has already gone wrong
It eased off a wee bit on the warm down
When I got home I stretched it, iced it then ultrasounded it.
And might get my live in masseur to look at it soon too

7 AM

Running 13:54 [2] 2.52 km (5:31 / km) +16m 5:21 / km

Warming up

Running 24:37 [4] 4.8 km (5:08 / km) +5m 5:06 / km

Reps
3x 200 (200) 200 (400) 400 (200)

Next time I'll do 4 sets
Super windy so very inconsistent times but didn't fancy the treadmill
They should have been 3.55 pace so think I still need to work at consistency in my reps
8 AM

Running 11:37 [2] 1.86 km (6:15 / km) +19m 5:57 / km

Warming down
Should probs have done more but will probs stretch later and maybe an easy run
5 PM

Running 28:50 [2] 5.53 km (5:13 / km) +32m 5:04 / km

Easy canal run along my normal route
Legs tired to start with but eased off and feeling good in the sun
