Orienteering race 56:36 [4] **** 10.43 km (5:26 / km)
ahr:171 max:185 spiked:15/20c shoes: Salomon XA Pro 3D

KNC14/Sonic at Tilgate. A simple go get them all score with 20 controls, 10 in the park and 10 on the roads. I'm still not up to full pace I'd say 85% and it was my first time with my right handed thumb compass. I quickly realised I'd have to swap my dibber to the left hand and after this happened I only had to deal with a the normal running issues like a stitch a tight neck and a blister forming. Excited about potentially doing my first park run on Saturday and then the DFOK regional!

Event: OK Nuts

Orienteering race 1:13:52 [4] *** 12.07 km (6:07 / km) +113m 5:51 / km
ahr:167 max:183 spiked:24/26c shoes: Inov Mudroc 290

Hankley and Elstead Blood races for the OK Nuts Trophy. Feeling just about well enough to jog around the half blood. From my heart rate it was clear that I'm nowhere near full fitness as even at the slow pace I was going my heart rate was in the normal race level. I was able to spike a lot since I was going slowly and it was pretty easy navigation. 11.4km

Retired my Mudrocs as they are now very tired and a new year demands a fresh pair of shoes!
