Orienteering race (Scottish Uni Relays) 20:25 [4] 3.62 km (5:38 / km) +91m 5:01 / km
ahr:167 max:187 shoes: Integrators

Fun relay on Blackford hill. Teams were done by subject so I ran with Calum and Alison. The run was very good except for a run of three disastrous controls at the end wasting about 2 minutes! We would definitely have won if I didn't muck it up :( 3.1 km 115m

Orienteering race (SOUL 7) 53:15 [4] *** 11.6 km (4:35 / km) +62m 4:28 / km
spiked:22/29c shoes: Asics Gel 1170

ESOC Weekend urban. Really well planned course with lots of route choice and decision making. Was going well, new I made a couple of route choice errors but didn't know how big they were. It turned out I wasted about 1 minute on a leg, meaning Richard cruised a victory. 7km and 60m climb

FWTN 4 at Craigmillar Castle. Pretty poor run, and that was before my torch broke! Just ran with Calum and Kirsten around the rest of the course to complete it. 4.9km

Cycling (EUCC x-country) 2:02:06 [2] 30.22 km (14.9 kph) +385m

Short ride today, but obviously light issues are now the limiting factor. Straight up Poet's and around to scalectrix before returning back. Really enjoyed it :)

Same as yesterday seeing how my legs were coping. Felt REALLY good, should be fine for Saturday. I didn't mean to run that much faster, but I didn't realise until I looked at my watch at the end.

Running 28:37 [3] 6.08 km (4:42 / km) +91m 4:23 / km
ahr:155 max:175 shoes: Asics Gel 1170

Went for a gentle run around Holyrood park to see how each leg was coping. I felt no pain in my left knee, so I think that's recovered. After about 24 minutes the lower half of my right calf started to stiffen up a lot, I had to stop and stretch it before continuing. No pain in it when walking however so that's good :)
