Orienteering on Bull Island - Green 6.6

I started off kinda slow, and got a lot quicker at the end. I completely over-ran 6 cause I got distracted, so I lost a minute or two there. Kev (who ran Green too cause he's injured) caught up with me at no. 7, and we stayed together for the rest of the race, (I tried to keep up with him..) but our route choices did vary a bit where possible. The actual course was kinda easy, none of the legs were too hard. I really wanted to beat Kev at the end so I ended up missing the last control and punching the finish before realising this... I really enjoyed it :)

The plan was to do 10 mins easy, 5 mins steady, 5 mins hard and a warm down.
I started of really slow, and did that ten minutes, then did the five steady but coming up to 15mins running I knew I wouldn't be able to do the 5 hard. I'd a really bad headache and a pain in my stomach probably from a lack of sleep and no breakfast so I just stopped... :(
It was 2k back to the car, so I walked the first 1k and felt a little better and then I ran the other 1k which took me 4:30 .

Ran 10 minutes out towards Herbert Lodge, and then 10 back, tried to keep the same pace through the whole thing.. Didn't go too fast or too slow either :) My hip felt a tiny bit sore on the way back...?
