JHI Relay, Magillian, with Emer and Rachel

Bit panicked at the start when I realised I'd somehow forgotten my compass, but I think it made me a lot more careful in the end. Nav started to get a bit scrappy once I started running with the two Scottish girls but only one biggish mistake on #11 when I didn't check what side of the hill the control was on and ran to one slightly further down. Really tried push myself towards the end and calves started cramping in the last few hundred metres which is the first and hopefully last time that will ever happen as it was kinda painful.. Felt like I was running a lot faster than yesterday but making a lot more mistakes today. Good end to my last ever JHI!

JHI's, Magilligan/Martello Tower, 6.4km

Bit hesitant at the start as the scale felt more like 1:7500 (not sure if it was just me) and features and controls seemed to be coming up really fast in the first section. Small misses on #2 and #7, maybe 30s each but apart from that it all went pretty well up until #19. When I saw the long leg back to the finish I just kind of started running without planning and realised I had a long section of green in the way. Thought I saw a gap in it (I was very wrong) and ended up completely stuck in it for about 1:30ish. No results/splits yet so not sure how much time I actually lost but between that and my shoe falling off that leg was a bit of a disaster, still really happy with the run overall though!
