Orienteering race (cunning running line) 18:04 [5] 3.66 km (4:56 / km)
shoes: New Balance

hung out 1/2 controls for cunning running event, had to check the other half which was the line course, so ran it just before entries opened
wanted an accurate GPS of distance - did it map memory but since I was the setter it was easy.

Orienteering (cunning running test) 51:12 [5] 9.56 km (5:21 / km) +128m 5:01 / km
ahr:159 max:165 shoes: New Balance

running the course that I am setting on Saturday
wanted to set a course that I could do in about 50 mins, not too far off.
I think the route was optimal, but would love to see a shorter distance run.

given I didn't need to punch any controls, I think there are only a couple of people that can get them all in 45, but I doubt they will be there.

Orienteering race (NOL9) 2:49:49 [5] **** 18.39 km (9:14 / km) +480m 8:10 / km
ahr:147 max:166 shoes: Inov-8 Mudclaw 333

M21E 15km +500m
22/22 (22 finish, 2 mp,3 dnf,8 dns)

#1 good
#2 a little searching ..
#3 good
#4 a bit low, lost a few mis
#5 way off, too high, ended up to the S of the hill

was steady for the rest, slow in some hilly/tree-fallen areas, but few navigational errors. felt like I ran well in the open areas, hydro pack and gels got me to the finish :)
