Blue at Sunol. Brutal course, very steep and physical, as expected for Sunol. I just could never get going, it was exhausting. Several reentrants were much steeper than mapped. And a 1.6 km 200 m climb to the start made the whole day very tiring. The climb is approximate as it was clearly more than marked. I did decently, though Francois started 2 min behind me and caught me going to 1 since I made a mistake. I had a mostly clean race, just slow. There were some beautiful views out there, and it was a great day.

Control pickup at Sunol. Exhausting after a long day. I mostly walked the uphill, which was still a lot of climb. Distance, climb and time are very rough.
