Challenge the Shield W Robbie!
Super terrain, super clean nav, super teammate, super tired! Sent it maybe a little too hard in the first half, and both of our shins started hurting, so hiked the last half. Made some great time, and placed first Coed! Proud winners of Squirrely George!

To/from DKOS

It’s likely that my toe pain is caused my my hallux valgus (big toe points in), creating a bit of a bunion and also changing the angle of my first toe when I push off. Apparently I have strong foot muscles, but my feet are generally very flexible which makes it hard to push off properly when running, especially with the angle of my toe. But because my feet are still strong, my situation is a lot better than it could be.
Drew is going to try some new orthotics to see how that can help, and I’m going to get even stronger in my foot muscles/toe alignment ! And some recovery sandals to see what that does.

Toes feeling okay, really thinking about pushing off properly. My shin would feel better a bit into the running sections, but worse on downhills. Not unbearable!

Felt a little niggle in the front of my right shin immediately after I stopped running on Sunday, and it’s been sore since. Didn’t feel it at all during the run or my long run before, very weird very strange.
Spinning didn’t feel painless so I stopped. Easy rest of the week before CTS.
