Pandaplace Long ride. Lots of climbing. Almost added the Pipe after I finished Trillium but didn't think fast enough. Legs were pretty much jello after anway.
Lots of strong times. Poured for 5 minutes on me while climbing Highway but only rained on that small section of the mountain. Trail was pretty soaked until about halfway to Beast.

Calf Mountain Stopped on my way to pick Skip up from surgery. Lots of elevation.
Thought the Beagle Gap trail was going to be public but marked private. Drove up just behind the property owner at the bottom and she let me park. Instead of climbing Beagle Gap I started to climb the powerline. Property owners there said I wasn't allowed to cross their property to get to it. So I went back to the train tracks and walked down them to the powerline. Just after I left the tracks a train came by. Shwacked a little and found some bits of access road to get me to where I would have been. Went up the powerline which was steep. The first half had a decent trail but there was no clear trail on the second half. I was able to find remnants of trail the but it was overgrown, fortunately just with grass, no briars.
Got to the AT and took that all the way to Bear Den Mountain. Seemed like there were a lot of trails going off to my right after I came over Calf Mtn. Then came back down Beagle Gap Trail.
Rained for some of the climb with some Thunder/Lightning.
There is a Strava segment for the powerline trail (which is how I found it). It looks like everyone gets to the powerline via the train tracks from the other direction and the access road I eventually reached.
Also looks like there are some other trails above Mint Springs.
Rash was looking better this morning but I had already made the appointment so I figured it couldn't hurt to go.
He confirmed it was likely a hornet and it probably was there for longer than usual. Given that there were still signs of reaction he prescribed prednisone. I was a bit hesitant but after getting some more itchiness later that day I figured it was probably not a bad idea to take it.

Stadiums West 2x10 Doubles (13'04" and 13'25") Workout after faculty retreat at GClub.
Steps were wet and it was misting during the second set. I took the descents very carefully and made sure my heart rate was settled before going down two steps at a time. Wouldn't have been able to do it without the rough paint on the steps.
Times were slow but I think ok given the conditions and the fact that I've had a good last couple days. I made it through without too much trouble. Pacing myself a bit probably helped. Glad to get the workout in.
