Mountain Biking 1:58:22 intensity: (47 @0) + (24:32 @1) + (1:03:03 @2) + (29:02 @3) + (58 @4) 20.43 mi (10.4 mph) +2452ft

Another good ride. Came across Peter J after my "warmup." Convinced him to ride with me for a bit. He did for a climb and descent.

Something bit/stung me on my quad on our descent on the FS road. Really bad. I swiped it away before I could see what it was. It felt like the size of a horse fly but it is still stinging 5 hours and 2 benedryls later.

Good times in spots. FS road was slowed by the new gravel. Last ride was aided by the smooth dirt.

First time riding Clover Hollow. It is a nice loop to add to Spruce Run without having to do all of Mtn Lake.

I thought I rode really strong. Having a week off helped. Some spots were better than others but still behind last Fall a bit.

Toe felt fine.

HealthCare (Podiatrist) 1 [0]
(injured)

Podiatrist immediately recommended pulling the nail to avoid infection but also agreed that would be the best plan moving forward as well. He said the nail was mostly separated from the nail bed already.

He recommended covering it with moleskin at times for extra protection.

Note
(injured)

Pain not too bad. Nothing worse than I was already feeling until I took the bandage off at night. Got away without needing pain meds until nighttime.

Note

Took Z back to the Vet. He tweaked his knee and yelped on Saturday. We were concerned he might have busted the surgery but he has seemed fine since then and the vet said he was good to go. A few more weeks of walks and then we can start some running.
