Pandaplace
Got a little further into Pandapas than usual. Went the opposite way to avoid getting the Trailsters wet at the beginning of a long run. This meant running up the mountain right away. It also meant running down Poverty Creek. I am not a fan of the climb at the start but think I should go this way more often.

I wasn't pushing too hard and my quads and glutes were super sore from last night's lunges.

Probably last run with the old watch (VivoHR) and as I was crossing a large fallen tree the branch swiped the watch right off my wrist. By the time I stopped and turned around it had already fallen. I searched for 30 minutes and finally found it.

Ran into a woman named Thea and her dog walking on the Gaines property (Turtle).

Mountain Lake
Decided this would be a good ride for today. Warm. 80F when I got back. Overall felt like I worked a little harder than last time. Specifically on the climb but my climb was only slightly faster. Most of my segments were just a bit faster than last time resulting in an overall faster ride.

They were paving Spruce Run. The first couple of miles were fresh pavement then I hit the work zone and just barely missed the pilot car. Waited for 5 minutes for the pilot car to come back.

Didn't spend as much time at the lake either. Got stuck behind a car on the way down as well. It was going just a bit slower than I wanted. My descent was still faster than last time though.

Strength 10:00 [2]

140 pushups
80 leg raises/pikes

Ample rest between sets.
