Trail Running 53:45 [2] 6.75 mi (7:57 / mi) +388ft 7:33 / mi
shoes: INOV8 Roclite 295

Had planned to run near the river but lost motivation and just ran around the neighborhood. Calves were sore from yesterdays run. Knee was still a little tweaked. Got dark with about 5-10 min left. Just enough light for the last trail section.

Trail Running 1:21:17 [3] 10.77 mi (7:33 / mi) +432ft 7:16 / mi
shoes: INOV8 Roclite 295

Ran the whole Southern portion of the PRT. Did the hill figure 8 at the north end and the mile out and back to the trailhead. Thin layer of snow on the ground still. Don't think it slowed me down much. Inov8s had good grip. Pace was stronger than I would have expected. Slowed a little at mile 5 but still kept it pretty strong. Flatter than last week. 20D

Stopped for a 90 sec (included) at Chesterbrook to look at the new trail map. Noticed they rerouted the trail and I haven't been using or even seen the new section. Would like to see an electronic version of this map but it doesn't seem to be posted. It had all the other neighborhood trails as well, contours and streets. Pretty impressive.

Left leg not too tight. A little bit of pain in the knees so I tried to run leaning forward more and more on the balls of my feet, that seemed to help a lot.

Commuting 55:22 [2] 16.29 mi (17.7 mph) +650ft
shoes: Answer Impact MTB

Rode in. Coldest commute I've done. 12D when I started with no wind. 15D with a single digit wind chill when I finished. Side wind on Loisdale and a tailwind down the parkway. Toes were cold. Snot on my facemask was freezing.

Biggest clothing difference was that I added shin sleeves to cover my calves. Also switched to a new pair of Windstopper gloves which I now have confirmed are a size too small. They have a fleece lining and lobsters (my others dont) which kept hands a bit warmer. Would have also liked a layer of underwear as a second layer for that critical region.

Updated cold weather clothing guide (Temps in WC).
My Cold Weather Clothing Guide (hour long road ride)
<50: Arm warmers
<40: Fleece Knickers, Shirtx2, Winter gloves/hat/buff for face
<30: Toe covers, fleece facemask
<20: Cycling Jacket, Better or Second Pair of Gloves
<10: Shorts/Underwear, Shoe Covers

Commuting 58:30 [2] 16.39 mi (16.8 mph) +900ft

Ride home. 25D 15WC. Felt warmer. Toes were warm. Slight wind from the west.
