Still snow on the ground <2" The trails were mostly trodden. There were only a few moments of postholing through drifts along the top of Brush Mtn.

Felt pretty good but slow.

My watch wasn't working. Couldn't get it to get a satellite signal or sync with my phone. Carried my phone in my arm warmer on my wrist. My watch used accelerometer and did pretty well estimating. Was able to get it to sync/upload.

Pandaplace w/Zitch/Skip
Thin layer of snow. 20F and 10WC at the finish. Spectacular full moonrise as I climbed Turtle. Creeks weren't as frigid as I was preparing myself for. It was coldest running along the FS road.

Took the pace easy for the snow/ice and just to take it easy. First back to back days of running in a while.

Watch didn't start when I left the house. Fixed the time and distance.

Lick Run
Purposeful easy run. Legs were tired and stomach was messy. Stomach felt better at the end of the run but legs were still tired.

Nice stretch afterward while the girls rode their bikes.

I marked the FS boundary that I finally found.

Straley Valley w/Zitch/Skip
40F and steady rain. I was wetter than I thought and therefore colder too.

Road was real wet and soft except for the spots that had frozen on the west end.

I was pushing the pace a little to get back for a meeting.

Western Brush Loop
Trying some new options out and incorporating a bit of road. Most climbing I've done since the break.

360 degree sunset on the second summit.

Took the Bunny tree short cut (2 min shorter) so I could run by the girls who were out for a walk.

Lick Run
Legs felt loose. Was planning to go easy but my legs were rested and ready so I kept a decent pace.

Snow finally melted on FS road but muddy.

Straley Valley w/Zitch/Skip
More snow than I was expecting. Road was sloppy where it wasn't snowy. Dogs ran off when we got back to the car.

Felt some tenderness in glute that started to extend into hip. Brief tightness in upper part of quad.

Lick Run
Flurries and partially snow-covered roads.
Felt more comfortable and faster than Saturday. Haven't felt much pain in my hip today. Felt some tenderness in my glute and maybe a tiny bit in the hip while running. I think last night's rolling made a difference. Maybe the ART yesterday too.

Family Hike w/Zitch/Skip/Nut/E/KT
Bike Jump loop again. This time w/KT and no dogs. Trails were even muddier.

Was trying to gently massage my hip in my pocket while walking. Kind of like ART. Felt good for a little while but then got some really sharp pains.
9 PM

Note

Have been stretching and it hasn't seemed to make a lasting difference but tonight after I stretched I rolled the top of my hamstring (under my glute) and my lower back (along with my calf). Was purposefully not touching anywhere the pain was. Just spots of potential tightness.

Easy run to see how my hip feels. It felt fine on the run but not any better or worse before or after. Pace was pretty slow.

Stretched well before the run.

Checking out the snow in the woods. Not much there. We did a lot of looking for tracks. We walked up a creek I had never walked and noticed there was an old road bed.

Family Hike w/Zitch/Skip/Nut/E
Did a new loop with the girls on Head Hunter and the Pipe. Lots of running and little walking. Stopped for lunch at the top of pipe. They liked the bike jumps on the pipe.
