Also made sure to find the old powerline tower I recently found on the map. It is crazy how hidden they can be in the woods even when you are right next to them.

Hike at Alta Mons with the family. I carried Nut and all the gear. This is where KT spent most of her summers. We had tried going here a few times before but it was always closed. Nice to finally get a visit. Waterfall was easily worth the trip in itself. Some other nice vistas as well.

Watch missed some of the route.

Another morning workout w/Zitch/Skip. Ran over at Pandapas as the rain faded. Pretty comfortable pace the whole way. Went up and down the new trail, Holiday. Set KOMs for both. Had to walk twice on the uphill. This is a nice downhill for MTB. Lots of work done. Unfortunately I think the trail will get washed out in a year or two unless more work is done.

Lots of mosquitoes and horse flies biting my back the whole run.

Took the morning off and rode w/Zitch/Skip. Went to the east side of Pandapas. Wanted to try and squeeze in Royale but not enough time and dogs were slowing.

Temps were reasonable but I think too long of a stretch between water breaks (mile 3 to 7) really wore the pups out.

Had chain issues ascending Homonym.

Ride fairly early before it got too hot w/Zitch/Skip. Kept it short with lots of water stops. Think the dogs could have gone a bit longer but probably just the right length. I felt slow and sluggish.

Note

Another visit to the podiatrist. He said my toe may be just fine. May just be getting aggrevated from use/running. Hopefully with some rest and keeping it clean should allow it to heal quickly.
