Still not feeling great so struggled on the climbs where I frequently broke into a walk. Even the flats werr hard work at times. Lost the path a little at the end. Although it would have been considerably faster if healthy, I lead from the start and finished with a 6mins lead. Also avoided being blown off the cliff

HFW - feeling the early onset of a cold

Mile End Parkrace day - only the second time ever I've planned a race and (despite the 10min start delay) it seemed to go quite well. All the controls were (and remained) in the right place and the immediate feedback I got was that people found the course interesting.

The general objective was to use the variety of area, with the campus, park and major uncrossable features, to create a race with something for everyone: sprint, routechoice, and some classic park sections. Although the courses were slightly long, I hope that variety kept people entertained throughout.

Big thank you to all the helpers on the day. Lots of volunteers as usual meant things ran smoothly. I could name people but I'd just leave someone out. Thanks all for the help in making it happen on the day
