Up to the start, perhaps shouldn't have run all the way up the hill because then I struggled a bit on the course with tight calves.

Sugarloaf, Welsh Camps Long.
Just kept it steady. Took a couple of dodgy routes, went up the path a bit to 1 and probs could have gone straight. Very off line on 8, got to remember to use my compass. Very hesitant on 17, it didn't look as I expected. Also slightly overshot 20, saw the re-entrant but not the control (flag had fallen down), and then had to double back. Found contouring tough on my ankles and descending was very slippery!

Welsh Middle Champs Pwll Du.
Didn't start too badly as the first few were downhill. Slipping around a lot to 3 and then as soon as it was uphill I was struggling. Took a v bad route to 5 and also to 7, brain just not with it. Plodded through the rest of the course. Just felt like I had no go at all and breathing was pretty off. Thought that a couple of days would have fixed this cold that hasn't really got anywhere but it clearly hasn't.

Another walk with the fam up a Marilyn near Kington. Thought we found an injured horse and had I just started speaking to an RSPCA man on the phone when it managed to stand up (after many failed attempts) and it turned out it had just been stuck in a ditch on its back...

Had planned a morning run but was feeling really worn down so slept instead. Perhaps need to stop just training through and ignoring this cold.

Run in the Brecon Beacons. Feeling a bit coldy still and chest a bit tight. V windy, wet and muddy. Not too bad on the way out but once turned around it was very difficult to move! The path back over the top was virtually non existent but I did see an owl :)
