Sick as a dog. Picked up some sickness bug.
Tagged on with Mark but around 5 hours in the nausea was bad on the climbs. Was hoping to shake it off by the second long downhill but had to keep walking to stop feeling sick.
By petit St Bernard even eating and drinking a fair bit didn't help but decided to push on with the 10 mile downhill to Bourg St Maurice. Again couldn't open up on the downs.
Would've been a long time out so pulled the plug

Ragleth Inn fell race
Bit of a raspy throat but soon loosened up.
Started too far back but felt I regulated the effort well.
Held place up Callow and up second climb. Took 1 or 2 or the tricky descent. Should've taken the guy in front on the stream run. Slacked a bit.
On Callow part 2 overtook I think 3 guys and another 2 down to the finish..
Pleased with nearly 2 minute improvement on 2016

28/103 still a bit shit though. Judging by the number of M50s in front of me perhaps I need to wait until I've got more time on my hands to train properly.

Previous night there were rough plans to do Stretton Skyline route for a long one but didn't fancy Carding Mill for the hundredth time this year.
Ended up doing Ragleth inn fell race route. Forgot how short it was. So headed up Ashlet and Yearlet for a bit extra. Felt sick here so not ideal. Headed back to the pub while Henry went up Callow again.

Sent the red I did last week but found it easier. Also sent another red which I got nowhere near before cus I couldn't get hold of the big sloper. Getting way more sleep recently so putting that down to the increase in strength.

Middletown fell race. (border raid).
Didn't really like it that much.
Straight up a hill, half of it single file. Then straight down the other side. Couldn't overtake on the down either. Then up the same hill just a different way. And back down to the start.
On the plus side. I felt good but didn't put much effort in 'cus I couldn't get past.
