All v pleasant - I’d forgot what a wonderful area this is - until I did my ankle very badly half way to 6 and crawled back from the far end of the map. Next day now and it is very swollen indeed. Ouch.

Little France sprintelope

Tired, flat and more than just a little gloomy just now. Just never ending tiredness and jobs. Jobs and tiredness. The orienteering could have been fun if it wasn’t for me being such a misery. Good to go somewhere new, and nice that it was all in the BioCentre, even if it meant I was up close for the first time to one of the buildings that took up a ludicrous amount of time when I worked at the university, mainly dealing with squabbling academics.

Glasgow sprint

Think sprint in Scotland you think of Edinburgh and dodgy Central Belt housing estates. Tonight’s orienteering in Glasgow was truly excellent though. A sprint around the central campus. I was flagging, fell into a few of the bear traps and some more obvious mistakes just for fun too. Classy, classy orienteering though. Great night. Well worth the trip. One of the kids said on the way home ‘why isn’t WOC being held in Glasgow?’ which is clearly taking things too far!

Indoorinteering, which is very much my skill set, apart from 26 stories of up, which isn’t. Lost my concentration slightly and missed 10 out completely on the way to 11 which is a little frustrating as it was only 10m extra distance. But this didn’t spoil the fun too much.
