Dry-needle therapy for my knotted left calf at PT today. They seem to do a lot of that there. basically they stick thin needles into the muscle trigger points, which supposedly helps by itself, and then also run some electricity (like regular muscle stim) through. It was only somewhat uncomfortable, and then the muscle felt a little crampy afterwards. not sure if it will help.
