Felt pain in left calf during step-up reps. Hurt to walk all afternoon afterwards... After 2 weeks, I tore it (after a w/e of orienteering...) - funnily enough, not till the Monday morning when I stepped off the side wall on our driveway. Couldn't put force through my leg for 2 days, was limping for 10 days. Physio said torn gastrocnemius. Have a rehab plan that takes me through to January. Not a great way to end 2010, but it's been one of those years (The Year my Calves Broke)
6 weeks recovery. Stretching/Strengthening. Scan showed tears and thickening of muscle lining, so I'll have problems for ever really.
