L Foot, Ankle Sprain

2009-11-07 – 2009-11-21

Grade: 2

At the penultimate control of the CSU Orienteering Weekend Middle Distance course, I leapt over a tangle of green briar, rolled my left ankle, and landed with all my weight on it. I paused for about twenty seconds, then hobbled to finish the course. The ankle swelled up moderately and running is difficult.

I do not have a full range of motion in my ankle, and rotating it causes slight pain. I have elected to stop running for some days and spend my time biking gingerly instead.

Rest, ice. I avoided running on it for about a week.
